HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR
PURCHASE
How to Care for Shell and Graphic
Art Items:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not allow water or any
liquids to come into contact with surface of shell jewelry
or objects with decorative graphic artwork. To clean, dust
with a soft, dry cloth.
How to Care for Fine Beadworx
Jewelry:
Store all bead work FLAT. Please do not bend
or the Tigertail wire on which the beads are strung might
become permanently kinked out of shape. We are not responsible
for necklaces that become crimped because of mishandling or
improper storage.
How to Care for Knitwear :
Unless other instructions are specified when
you receive your package, gently hand wash knitwear in cold
or lukewarm water using either "Eucalan," very mild
castile soap or baby shampoo. (We do not recommend "Woolite"
for our knits). Be sure not to wring dry--instead, gently
squeeze water out and blot dry in a towel. Reshape garment
and dry flat. You may also use a home dry cleaning system
on the lowest heat setting.
What Is Gold-Filled Wire?
Gold-filled wire, sometimes referred to as
rolled gold, is made by heat and pressure-bonding a thin layer
of gold to a brass core. The karat gold cover makes
it tarnish-resistant and, for most customers, the finish will
last a lifetime.
How to Care for Wire-Sculpted
Jewelry:
Do not use abrasives or bleach; both
damage silver and many stones. Avoid toothpaste, scouring
powder, baking soda or creamy opaque jewelry cleaners. We
recommend a professional cleaning cloth (offered for sale
below) for all wire work and suggest storing jewelry in individual
airtight bags. IMPORTANT NOTE: Some stones are delicate,
including amber, coral, malachite, mother-of-pearl, opals,
unstabilized turquoise. Do not expose to ammonia, hot
solutions, ultrasonic cleaners or abrasives. |
